The Jesus Revival Centre began in 1995 in North Kinangop, Kenya by John Kairu, his wife Esther and 10 other people. JRC began in prayer with a vision of bringing people to Christ through care and concern for the total person. God has continually added to their numbers, those who are being saved. As Of 2007, JRC has grown to a total of  1335 parishioners, attending services at the main church in North Kinangop, Engineer Town and 7 church plants in surrounding towns.

Ministry Partnership between the people of New Hope Anglican (formerly worshiping as Christ Church, Watertown) has been ongoing since 1998. In 1998, Pastor John Kairu of the Jesus Revival Centre came to the United States seeking support for his church in North Kinangop, Kenya. Pastor John met with Pastor Allyn Benedict of Christ Church Watertown. A relationship was begun between Pastor John and JRC and the people of Christ Church.

Over the years, this ministry partnership has grown. We have been fortunate to be involved in the work that God has been doing in Kenya through His people at JRC. These include:
  • Nursery School Program
  • Church Building Project
  • Land For Farming Program
  • 4-F Small Business Loan Program
  • 2 Rental Housing Projects in Naivasha
  • High School and College Scholarships
  • Famine Relief
  • Purchase of Land for a future Health Clinic

JRC Save-A-Life Needs Support

With the current violence in Kenya, Pastor John Kairu of the Jesus Revival Centre has reported to us that hundreds of people have been killed and thousands have fled. Homes and cars have been burned. People have begun coming to JRC seeking aid. Please pray for the people of JRC; for their safety, encouragement and ability to feed and minister to those who come to them seeking aid. Also, please pray for the people of Kenya that the violence will stop and they will find peaceful ways to resolve their political differences.
